Lamai Beach Attractions
Coco Splash Waterpark - With 4 separate pools, 7 water slides from short to long, a Jacuzzi and of course a restaurant this is an amazing fun friendly place for a family day out. Set amoung lush green gardens with coconut plams shading the pools it is a a touch of water fun with a Thai flavor. Unlike the Aquapark in Chaweng the facilities at CocoSplash are completey clean salt free water. Located just two minutes from the beach.
Hin Yai & Hin Ta - Two naturally occurring rock formations which are know as "Grandmother and Grandfather Rocks" because of their rather rude similarity to male and female private parts! Perhaps not a good place for a family outing, but certainly a fun experience for couples. Located on the headland between Lamai and Hua Thanon this is a great place to explore some rock pools and look out of the sea. Get there by walking along the narrow path past Thai Ayodhyia Villas.
Laem Sor Pagoda, Maret - A hidden gem of the island this bright yellow Pagoda directly on the sea. A modern building made to replace the hill-top pagoda, which still exists but is being rebuilt, this pagoda houses a collection of traditional wooden fishing boat models. There are monks living here who will greet you and show you around.
Namuang Safari Park and Na Muang Waterfall - Offering full day adventure activates with an ecological theme this commercial Safari Park is a popular experience on Lamai. Elephant rides through the coconut plantations and jungle allow you to experience how life was like before development on the island. Understand how the working Thai elephants are cared for and see their intelligence and physical ability. Then go to viewpoints up the mountain to see amazing views over the island and the sea. Finally walk through the jungle to the 80 meter high Na Muang waterfalls which have natural pools at the base suitable for bathing.
